Mission Statement

To serve students at the undergraduate, graduate and continuing education levels; in engineering technology, the sciences, humanities and professional programs. We work to develop the broader community’s intellectual, cultural, economic and human resources. Facilitated by our innovative faculty, dedicated staff and supportive campus environment.


Our Goals

  • To provide diverse instruction, training and research in technology, the sciences and the humanities, as well as other spheres of learning which may from time to time be approved by the Council.
  • To provide courses of in-service instruction for members of the Public Service in the state, and to the extent that the Council thinks fit, courses of the like nature for persons unconnected with any of the public services.
  • To promote the development of local technology and the adoption of appropriate technologies.
